This policy describes how Honeycomb School («we», «the data controller») collects, uses and protects personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

2. Data processed and purposes
We only collect data necessary for the stated purposes:
- Contact and enquiries: name, email, phone, message and, if provided, child’s age or specific notes, to respond to enquiries and manage visits or pre-registrations.
- Website browsing: technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type) and cookies, where necessary for the operation and security of the site (see Cookie policy).
Data is not used for unsolicited marketing nor disclosed to third parties for such purposes.
3. Legal basis
Processing is based on: performance of pre-contractual measures (visit/pre-registration requests), consent where required (e.g. newsletter), legitimate interest (site security, responding to enquiries), and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
4. Retention
Data is retained for as long as necessary for the stated purposes (e.g. managing the relationship with families and accounting/legal obligations). Contact data that does not result in a contractual relationship may be deleted after a reasonable period of inactivity, subject to legal retention requirements.
5. Your rights (GDPR and FADP)
As a data subject you have the right, within the limits of the law, to: access your data, rectification, erasure («right to be forgotten»), restriction of processing, data portability (where technically feasible), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC; in the EU: the authority of your country of residence).

6. Third-party services and place of processing
The website is hosted on servers in Switzerland (Google Cloud, Zurich region). Requests sent through the contact form are passed to our enquiry management system, also hosted in Switzerland.
Only with your consent (see Cookie policy) do we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) for visit statistics and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. These providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA, with the safeguards required by law.
7. Security and transfers
We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data from unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/Switzerland, we ensure adequate safeguards (adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, etc.) where required by law.
